Location, Location, Location
It’s time to decide where to schedule your session! Below are some of our favorite and recommended locations for you to browse. We gladly travel anywhere in Michigan for sessions, just keep in mind that there is a travel fee for anything outside of the central Michigan area (Clare, Mt Pleasant, Midland). The fee depends on the location, so let us know where you are thinking and we’ll gladly get you a custom quote!
Tobacco Ranch
Located just outside the city of Clare, Tobacco Ranch Event Venue is one of our favorite places to shoot! From the beautiful red barn, to the creek running through the woods, and even an open field and bold artwork- this place has it all!
Mill Pond Park
A more open and yet still very versatile choice, is Mill Pond Park. Located in Mt. Pleasant, this location offers a grassy field, romantic forest, open river, and even a beautiful bridge! Plenty of photo ops at this location if you don’t mind doing a little walking!
Chippewa Nature Center
Another of our favorite Midland locations is the beautiful Chippewa Nature Center. It offers rustic barns, open fields, and plenty of trails all in one condensed location!
Deerfield Nature Park
Another beautiful Mid-Michigan location is Deerfield Nature Park in Mt. Pleasant, MI. If you’re open to a little exploring, we can capture your photos through a beautiful field, next to the open river and through some beautiful trails!
Dow Gardens
A beautiful botanical garden located in Midland, Mi. Dow Gardens offers bold bridges, towering pines, and delightful water and rock features.
There is a small fee to get into the Gardens, but you will not be disappointed by the beautiful backdrops available at this location!
Get Creative!
Feel free to have your session somewhere that has meaning for you. Perhaps somewhere relating to where you and your partner met, got engaged, or share some other special memory. A hockey rink for a sporty couple or a farm for the nature loving family. Think about if you or someone you know has access to a private estate, country club, a family ranch, or somewhere similar! Open fields, apple orchards, and even urban downtown locations can all make for gorgeous locations depending on the type of feel you want your photographs to have.
